Its applications for the new R&D institution projects of Jiangsu Province and strategic emerging industries-related projects of the Jiangsu Development & Reform Commission have been approved.

Since its establishment, HiNa BATTERY has built a 100-ton-level pilot-scale testing line for sodium-ion batteries' cathode and anode materials and an MWh-level cell production line. It has been granted domestic and foreign patents related to key materials, and served as a demonstration model to complete the world's first sodium-ion battery low-speed electric vehicle and the world's first energy storage power station based on the 100kWh sodium-ion battery system. The power station is now supplying electricity to IOPLY, marking the first industrial application of sodium-ion batteries in China and even the world.

Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory (SLAB) sits in Dongguan City, a key hub in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Its construction started on December 22, 2017 and the registration ended in April 2018. As one of the first provincial laboratories in Guangdong, SLAB consists of four core sections: the Frontier Research Center, the Public Technology Platform and Large-scale Scientific Facilities, the Model Factory for Innovation, and the South Bay Interdisciplinary Science Center. It aims to form a whole-chain innovation model integrating basic research on frontier technologies, basic research for application, research on industrial technologies and transformation of industrial achievements. It is scheduled to become an internationally recognized research and development base for new materials in southern China, an important component of China's materials research, and a new window for interdisciplinary cooperation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
